Accuracy matters. When we find errors in our articles, we correct them and document significant changes here. This page shows you:

  • What was corrected or clarified
  • Why the correction was made

For every article, you can see the "Last Updated" date at the top. Check there to know if an article has been revised.

Recent Corrections & Updates

July 31, 2026 — Multiple Article Improvements

Articles Updated:

  • YouTube Analytics Guide
  • How to Find a YouTube Niche
  • How to Increase YouTube CPM
  • YouTube Thumbnail Guide

Changes Made:

  • Removed duplicate "Note on CTR" paragraph that appeared twice in YouTube Analytics Guide
  • Fixed FAQ formatting in "Find Your Niche" article from improper --- separators to proper ### heading structure for better accessibility
  • Replaced illustrative (fake) charts in CPM article with real data callouts showing actual YouTube Studio results ($0.60→$1.20 CPM improvement, 4-5%→6-8% CTR improvement)
  • Removed citations from UX/design research (Nielsen Norman Group, Interaction Design Foundation) that were being used to support YouTube creator claims — these sources are about web design, not creator strategy
  • Updated sources section in Thumbnail Guide to remove UX research references and focus only on personal testing and YouTube documentation

Why: Audit review found that using UX research to back creator claims appeared as false authority. Articles were updated to use only direct sources (personal testing, YouTube documentation) and to be transparent about data limitations.

July 31, 2026 — Added Structured Data & Freshness Signals

Pages Updated:

  • All Blog Articles (via BlogArticlePage.tsx component update)

Changes Made:

  • Added JSON-LD Article schema to all blog posts with proper datePublished, dateModified, author, and publisher information
  • Implemented visual display of "Last Updated" date below article publication date for freshness signal

Why: Structured data and freshness signals improve SEO and help search engines understand article metadata. This supports better indexing and ranking.

Policy for Future Corrections

When we make corrections going forward, we'll document them here. Types of corrections we make:

  • Factual errors: When we publish something that is factually incorrect
  • Clarifications: When information is misleading or needs context added
  • Updates: When YouTube changes features or policies and our article needs revision
  • Quality improvements: When we improve structure, examples, or clarity

Minor vs. Major Changes

Major changes (significant rewrites, new sections, corrected facts) appear on this page.

Minor changes (typos, grammar, small clarifications) are made silently with only the "Last Updated" date changed.
